Spanish La Liga - Matchday 28 - Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Following a three-month lay-off, La Liga is back! Spanish soccer returns with a jam-packed fixture list, and there are plenty of games for us to look forward to. I have chosen to feature three of this weekend’s matchups that I believe offer the best value.

Here are the best La Liga bets for Matchday 28.

Espanyol vs. Alaves – 06/13/20

Espanyol will resume the season rock bottom of the table and six points from safety. The Barcelona club have only managed to win four of their 27 league games this season and look destined for relegation. Meanwhile, Alaves aren’t out of relegation trouble altogether. But the seven-point buffer between them and the bottom three should be enough to keep them safe. I think the bookies have got this one all wrong. Alaves are 12 points better off than Espanyol, so the sky-high price of 3.60 for Alaves to win seems too good to miss.

Pick: Alaves to Win – 3.60

Mallorca vs. Barcelona – 06/13/20

This has to be the biggest mismatch in La Liga this weekend. League-leaders Barcelona face third-bottom Mallorca, with a whopping 33 points separating the two teams. Barca return to action with a two-point lead over second-place Real Madrid, while Mallorca are one point inside the relegation zone. Barcelona have scored over 2.5 goals on ten occasions, and I can see them recording another high-scoring when in their first game back. After, Barca are the division’s highest scorers, while Mallorca have the second-worst defensive record.

Pick: Barcelona to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.90

Athletic Bilbao vs. Atletico Madrid – 06/14/20

It’s difficult to predict who will win this game. Atletico Madrid currently sit sixth – four places and eight points ahead of tenth-place Athletic Bilbao. These two teams are the lowest scorers in the top half of the table, but they also boast two of the best defensive records in the division. Given their respective records at both ends of the pitch, I believe this will be a low-scoring matchup with very few clear-cut chances. Both sides have been wildly inconsistent throughout 2019/20, so the under 2.5 goals market makes sense here.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.80
