Spanish La Liga – Matchday 28 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

I’m backing Real Madrid to bounce back with a big victory over Eibar on Friday, while Alaves shouldn’t have any problem avoiding defeat against struggling Espanyol. Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid looks set to be a tight encounter. 

Here are this week’s best La Liga bets. 

Real Madrid vs. Eibar – 3/13/20 

Real Madrid have fallen two points behind Barcelona at the top of the table after suffering a shock defeat to Real Betis last weekend. But Los Blancos are still nine points clear of third-place Sevilla. At the other end of the table, Eibar are hovering just above the relegation zone following a poor run of results. Real Madrid will be desperate to return to winning ways this weekend and keep the pressure on Barcelona. However, odds of 1.20 for the home win don’t offer much value. Instead, you can get odds of 1.80 by backing Real Madrid to win both halves.

Espanyol vs. Alaves – 3/15/20 

Espanyol are now three points adrift at the bottom after failing to win any of their previous four games. With just four wins from 27 league games this season, the Barcelona outfit are in real danger of being relegated. Alaves have picked up some promising results recently and one defeat in five games has seen them move seven points clear of the bottom three. Espanyol’s home advantage gives them a slight chance in this game. For that reason, odds of 1.80 for Alaves to either win or draw are very attractive here.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Atletico Madrid – 3/15/20 

No La Liga team has drawn more games than Atletico Madrid this season. Diego Dimeone’s men have drawn 12 of their 27 league games in 2019/20 and have drawn three of their last four. Athletic Bilbao have also drawn more games than they would’ve liked. Bilbao have registered ten draws this term and currently sit 10th in the table – eight points behind fifth-place Atletico. This matchup is surely heading for a draw. Both sides have an excellent defensive record, but neither side has been able to score enough goals this season.
