Croatia might have been great in the World Cup when they reached the final, but have seriously struggled ever since. They will now have a tough match coming their way for the UEFA Nations League, as they will play host to Spain on Thursday. Spain destroyed Croatia in the first match and now the World Cup finalists will look for revenge.

Croatia (0-1-1) made a terrible start in the UEFA Nations League when they suffered a massive 0-6 loss on the road against Spain. They looked pretty bad on both ends of the pitch, and weren’t much better in their next match. They hosted England in the second match and the two teams split the points in a goal-less draw. Croatia only just recently defeated Jordan by 1-2 in a friendly match, which was their first win since a 2-1 against Iceland in the 2nd Match-day of the World Cup. Croatia are sitting at the bottom of Group 4 with 1 point, and anything other than a win would demote them to League B. Spain (2-1-0) changed a lot of things since their catastrophic run in the World Cup this summer, and it has actually worked out great for them. They started off with a nice 2-1 away win against England, but it was in their next match that they really took off. They obliterated Croatia by a massive 0-6 at home to take the leading role in the group, but fell to England in their last match. Their opponents looked great in that match and had already taken a three-goal lead in Spain before the hosts scored twice in their attempt to come back into the match. Spain are now leading the group with 6 points, England have 4 and Croatia have 1. This is the last match for Spain, and they need a win in order to stay at the top.
