Manchester United had a pretty easy afternoon against Crystal Palace in their last match and grabbed all three points. They will now return home for their next assignment, where they will host Southampton on Saturday. Southampton returned to winning ways after two consecutive losses and have been quite competitive lately.

Manchester United (16-5-7) were just slightly better than Crystal Palace in their away match, where they won by 3-1. That win kept them at the 5th spot of the league table with 55 points, two points ahead of Chelsea and one point behind Arsenal. United have been excellent at home so far in the league, losing just one of their 13 matches (7-1-5). However, they were unable to win any of their last three there. Southampton (6-13-9) are coming off a totally balanced home match against Fulham last time out. They scored twice in the first half and grabbed three easy points, which were their first after two consecutive losses. But those were their only ones in their last ten matches in all competitions (3-2-5). Southampton moved out of the relegation zone with that win, now sitting at the 17th spot with 27 points. They haven’t been very good on the road overall (3-8-3) but lost just one of their last six (2-1-3).
