Southampton at Arsenal 2/24/19 - Premier League Picks & Predictions

Arsenal had it easy in their last match for the Premier League but have not been in the best of shapes lately. They are coming off a nice qualification in the Europa League and will now shift their focus to the Premier League. They will now play host to Southampton on Saturday, who could maybe create some problems here.

Arsenal (15-6-5) are coming off a 0-3 win at home against BATE in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32. They had lost the first leg by 0-1 and really needed a solid performance at home. In their Premier League match prior to that they had a pretty easy job on the road against Huddersfield and beat them by 2-1. The Gunners are sitting 5th in the league table right now with 50 points. They have been really strong at home this season (10-1-2) and have won five of their last six matches in all competitions there. Southampton (5-12-9) must do much better in the second half of the season in order to avoid the relegation. They are currently sitting at the 18th spot of the league table with 24 points, just one point inside the red line. Southampton met a very upsetting 2-1 loss at home against Cardiff in their last match, where they conceded a late goal. On the road they have been pretty bad, winning just three of their 13 matches so far (3-7-3). However, they haven’t lost any of their last five away matches in all competitions (2-0-3).
