The Sounders are sitting at the 4th spot of the Western Conference with 50 points, three ahead of Real Salt Lake, one behind the Galaxy and two behind Minnesota. But they have not been anything special on the road (4-8-4), winning one of their last five (1-3-1).
San Jose (13-14-5) took the lead in their home match against Philadelphia last week but conceded twice in a six-minute span in the second half to eventually lose by 2-1. They have now lost four in a row and seven of their last nine matches. The Quakes are now sitting at the 8th spot of the Western Conference with 44 points, one behind Dallas and Portland and three behind Real Salt Lake. They have been solid at home this season (10-4-2), where they just met their first loss after a 13-match undefeated streak in all competitions.
