Seattle saw their winning streak shattered at home against Philadelphia last week. They will now look for a way to return to positive results, but they will be hosted by the LA Galaxy on Sunday. The Galaxy are coming off a really bad set of matches, and have suffered two massive losses in their last two matches.

The LA Galaxy (10-11-8) were engaged in a really spectacular match on the road against Toronto last week. They saw their opponents take a three-goal lead but the Galaxy clawed their way back into the match and equalized before the hour mark. But they conceded two more goals to lose by 3-5. They are now win-less in their last seven and their defense is a mess. The Galaxy have slid to the 8th spot of the Western Conference and are now six points off the playoffs. At least they have been solid at home (6-4-4) where they are undefeated in their last eight (4-0-4). Seattle (13-10-5) are coming off a really frustrating 1-0 loss at home against Philadelphia. It was actually a pretty balanced match between the two sides, but it was Philadelphia who scored a late goal at the stoppage time. That loss put an end to Seattle’s nine-match winning streak. The Sounders are sitting 6th in the Western Conference with 44 points, four ahead of Vancouver and one behind Real Salt Lake. They have the best away record in the Conference (6-5-3) and are undefeated in their last seven (5-0-2).
