Lazio are coming off a string of bad results lately, having failed to record a single win in their last four matches in all competitions. They will now look to find stability in the season when they will play host to Sampdoria on Saturday. Sampdoria have not been very stable either overall, but they are actually coming off consecutive wins and will look to keep it up.

Lazio (7-4-3) played a really solid match on the road against Chievo last week but simply couldn’t break their defenses properly. They conceded an early goal and despite their dominance they were unable to take anything more than a draw point after pulling even at the hour mark. Lazio have also played in the Europa League this season, and that’s the reason for their fatigue lately. At least they have secured a spot in the next round of the competition and will now focus on Serie A duties. Lazio are currently sitting at the 5th spot of the league with 24 points, just one behind AC Milan and the Champions League spots. Lazio have a 4-2-1 record at home so far in the league, where they also have two wins in the Europa League. Sampdoria (5-5-4) had to come back from one goal behind in their mid-week match for the Coppa del Rey to eventually beat SPAL by 1-2 at home. They fought really hard in that match and deserved a spot in the next round of the competition. Prior to that they played an even better match at home against Bologna last week, blasting them by a strong 1-4. Sampdoria are now undefeated in their last three but have not kept a clean sheet in their last six. They are sitting smack down in the middle of the league table, at the 10th spot with 19 points. They have been quite competitive on the road so far (2-3-2), having lost only to bigger teams like Roma and Milan in their last six.
