Two teams that have been firing in all cylinders this season will lock horns in the knock-out round of the Champions League, when Tottenham will play host to RB Leipzig on Wednesday. Tottenham have been in really solid form but unlucky with injuries, while RB Leipzig have not been very stable lately.

RB Leipzig will look to continue their strong presence on the road in the competition when they will travel to London for this match. They remained undefeated on the road in the group stage (2-0-1) and picked up seven of their 11 total points. But they have been mediocre in the Champions League so far, winning just five of their 12 matches (5-4-3). But they have done well in two-legged European ties in recent years, winning five of their six such ties.

Tottenham are coming off a strong win in the league but lost another forward to injury, and are now short-handed up front. The Spurs have been in pretty good shape lately, going undefeated in their last seven matches in all competitions (5-0-2). They have done a good job in two-legged ties against German teams over the years (W5 L3). And they are overall pretty solid at home in the Champions League, winning ten of their last 14 matches there.

I will take the home team to cover the spread here. Coach Mourinho is really experienced in the Champions League and knows exactly how to deal with situations like this. He might be missing a fey players up front but he was always more defensive-minded.
