Now we will take a look at the last matches of the Copa Libertadores Group Stage, where there are still some teams looking to qualify. Argentinian side Racing Club have already qualified in the next stage, and they will now look to hold on to the top seed when they will be hosted by Brazilian side Cruzeiro on Tuesday.
Cruzeiro (2-1-2) made a horrible start in this stage of the Copa Libertadores, as they failed to win any of their first three matches. They suffered a bad 2-4 loss on the road against Racing Club in the first match, and were held to goal-less draws against Vasco da Gama (home) and Universidad de Chile (away). However, they were excellent in their last two matches, where they destroyed Universidad de Chile by 0-7 at home, and Vasco da Gama by 4-0 on the road. They are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the group with 8 points, 3 points behind Racing Club and 3 ahead of Universidad de Chile.
Racing Club (3-0-2) have been excellent in this stage so far, as they haven't lost a single match. After that strong 2-4 home win against Cruzeiro they were held to a 1-1 draw on the road against Universidad de Chile. They did bounce back with a massive 0-4 at home against Vasco da Gama, but were held to a 1-1 draw against the same opponent in Brazil. In their last match they defeated Universidad de Chile by 0-1 at home, and booked their ticket to the next round. They are now sitting at the top with 11 points, but they can drop to the 2nd place with a loss here.
