They went on to repeat the scoreline of the first leg, winning by 1-2 at home and sending the match to extra time where they eventually won. Porto are in this stage for the first time since 2003/04 where they actually won the trophy. Their record in two-legged ties is W3 L8 though, and they have lost the last five such ties.
