Portland Timbers at Houston Dynamo 5/15/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Houston met a tough loss in Seattle just like I predicted they would, and still showed that they are not as strong on the road. They will now return home for their next assignment, where they will play host to the Portland Timbers on Wednesday. Portland are also coming off a slim loss on the road but prior to that they were in good shape.

Houston (6-2-1) are coming off their second loss of the season, where they fell by 0-1 against Seattle on the road. That was actually their second loss in their last four too, both on the road. Houston are now sitting at the 4th spot of the Western Conference with 19 points, three behind Seattle and the LA Galaxy. Houston have yet to lose at home, where they have been really strong so far in the season (5-0-1). Portland (3-6-1) were actually really good in their away match against Cascadia rivals Vancouver but lost by 0-1 too. That loss came after three consecutive wins, as Portland have played all their matches on the road this season. They are currently sitting at the 10th spot of the Western Conference with 10 points, just as many as Sporting KC, while both are three points behind the playoffs.
