Two teams that are in totally opposite form will clash against one another on Saturday, when the Colorado Rapids will play host to the Portland Timbers. Colorado have been in terrible form lately as they have lost five in a row, while Portland have been the exact opposite with five consecutive wins.
Colorado Rapids (2-6-2) are coming off yet another loss, as they were destroyed by a massive 0-4 on the road against NYCFC. They weren't all that bad in that match, but they conceded three goals in the second half that destroyed whatever hope they had for a point in that match. That was their fifth loss in a row, while the Rapids have scored just two goals in that span. They are still sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with just 8 points, having scored 11 goals so far, against 17 conceded.
Portland Timbers (5-3-2) played host to LAFC in their last match, and had to score a late goal in order to record a 1-2 win. They have been in really top shape lately, as this was their fifth consecutive win, having kept three clean sheets in that span. The Timbers have climbed to the 3rd spot of the Western Conference with their 17 points, and are now seven points behind Conference leaders SKC who have played two more matches. However, Portland have not been very good on the road so far (1-3-2), where they just kept their first clean sheet.
