Portland Timbers at Cincinnati 3/17/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Cincinnati have not been very bad in their inaugural season in the MLS and just grabbed their first points. They will now get ready for their first home match of the season, which will most likely be a sell-out. They will host the Portland Timbers on Sunday, who have shown great defensive weaknesses so far.

Cincinnati (0-1-1) did a good job to take the lead against the Sounders in the opener but ended up losing by a harsh 1-4 on the road. They were determined to do much better in their second match, and they managed to escape Atlanta with a 1-1 draw. It wasn’t a pretty match and Cincinnati had to score a late equalizer in order to salvage a point, but they did it. Portland (0-1-1) conceded a really frustrating goal at the dying minutes of their opening match against Colorado on the road and eventually settled for a point in that 3-3 draw. But their next match was even more frustrating, as they fell by 1-4 on the road against LAFC. It was a pretty balanced match and Portland will surely be feeling hard-done by the result.
