Two teams that started the new season with losses will lock horns on Sunday when Sporting KC will host Philadelphia Union. Sporting KC met a last minute loss against LAFC, while Philadelphia were not bad against Toronto but fell hard at home.

Sporting KC (0-1-0) are coming off a tough 1-2 loss on the road against LAFC. They actually took the lead in that match, at the 16th minute. But they were playing a very physical match and also had five yellow cards in the first half. It was a really balanced match between the two sides but LAFC pulled even at the start of the second half and scored the winning goal at the stoppage time for the final 1-2. Sporting KC made it all the way to the Conference Finals last season but fell to Portland. Philadelphia Union (0-1-0) were not very bad in their home match against Toronto FC but met a heavy loss. Toronto FC took the lead at the end of the first half and even missed a penalty kick prior to that. They were already leading by two before Philadelphia scored at the 73rd minute from the penalty spot, but scored another goal at the stoppage time to force Philadelphia to a big 3-1 loss at home. Philadelphia Union finished 6th last season (15-14-5) and were quite decent on the road (6-8-3).
