The NY Red Bulls managed to escape from Atlanta with all three points last week, and have been in great shape lately. They will now look for their fifth win in a row when they will play host to PHialdelphia Union on Saturday. Philadelphia have not been very good this season, but are coming off back-to-back wins.
The NY Red Bulls (7-3-0) are coming off a really strong performance on the road, where they defeated Atlanta United by 3-1. Their opponents took the lead at the 26th minute, but the Red Bulls pulled even before the first half was over, and eventually overturned the lead with two goals in the second half. They have now won four in a row, but have kept just one clean sheet in that span. The Red Bulls are now sitting at the 4th spot of the Eastern Conference with 21 points, four points behind Conference leaders Atlanta United who have played two more matches.
Philadelphia Union (4-5-2) were excellent in their previous match, where they destroyed Real Salt Lake by 1-4 at home. They took a two-goal lead by the end of the first half, and scored two more goals in the second in order to record their second consecutive win. Philadelphia are now sitting at the 7th spot of the Eastern Conference with 14 points, three points behind New England and the playoff spots. However, they have been quite bad on the road so far (1-4-0), where they have scored just 2 goals, against 9 conceded.
