Belgium have come into this World Cup as the huge favorites to qualify from their group, which is a pretty easy one. They are only expected to fight England for the top spot, as neither Tunisia nor Panama have the assets to threaten them. Belgium will now start their bid with the easiest match in this phase, when they will clash against Panama on Monday.
Belgium had a very easy job in the qualifiers, as they only dropped points in the 1-1 draw against Greece at home (9-0-1). They had one of the best productions with 43 goals, while conceding just 4 in the process. Needless to say, Belgium have brought all their big guns to the tournament, and the expectations are really high for a squad like this. They are complete in every line, from goalkeeper Courtois to forward Romelu Lukaku. They have a really amazing midfield, while their defense is top-notch too.
Panama will be feeling really grateful to be in this tournament, thanks to that amazing goal by defender Roman Torres. Panama were clashing against Costa Rica in the final match-day of the qualifiers, and Roman Torres scored an amazing goal at the 88th minute for the final 1-2. That goal settled Panama at the 3rd spot of the group and sent them to their first ever World Cup. Their best players are currently participating in the MLS, but the overall quality of the squad is one of the worst in the competition.
