On Friday, Orlando City FC will play LAFC in the quarterfinals of the MLS is Back Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Orlando has gone farther than most had thought was possible in this tournament but will be up against the favorites to win the tournament on Friday. City must have their best defense on display as they will be up against the club with the best offense in the MLS at the moment.

Orlando City finished at the top of Group A with victories over Miami and NYC and a draw with Philadelphia. Orlando City followed that with an impressive 1-0 over the Montreal Impact in the round of 16. Tesho Akindele scored in the 60th minute for City for the only goal of the match. Although Orlando City has played very well through four matches, they lost Dom Dwyer their best striker due to a left knee injury for the rest of the tournament.

Bob Bradley's LAFC stamped their name as the tournament's favorites following an impressive 4-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders in the round of 16. The Black and Gold are now unbeaten in six consecutive matches to begin the 2020 MLS season, that includes three victories and three draws. In the victory over Seattle, Diego Rossi scored a brace and Latif Blessing scored the third goal, while Brian Rodriguez scored the fourth. The absence of Carlos Vela does not appear to have hurt the offensive power of LAFC.

LAFC has scored 15 goals in its first four fixtures in the tournament. The Black and Gold opened play in the MLS is Back Tournament with a 3-3 draw against the Houston Dynamo, followed by a 6-2 thrashing of the LA Galaxy and a 2-2 draw with the Portland Timbers. LAFC then disposed of the Seattle Sounders 4-1 in the round of 16.

LAFC -125

Although Orlando City has gone far deeper in the tournament than most had considered possible, the buck stops here. LAFC will put an end to Orlando City’s run with a victory in this quarterfinal fixture on Friday. LAFC’s midfield and frontline are almost unstoppable having scored 15 goals in the first four fixtures in tournament play and LAFC will be facing a short-handed Orlando City frontline that lost striker Dom Dwyer. Final Score Prediction, LAFC wins  4-1
