Orlando City SC at Nashville SC 11/23/21 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Nashville have been doing a stunning job throughout the entire regular season and they eventually finished at the 3rd spot. The same can’t be said for Orlando, who had to win their final match in order to make the playoffs safely. The two teams are now clashing in Nashville, and it’s going to be a very exciting match given by what we’ve seen so far.

Nashville finished the season with a 1-1 draw at home against the New York Red Bulls, which was their 7th draw in their last 9 matches, and the 18th draw in their 34 matches this season! Impressive. Nashville finished at the 3rd spot of the Eastern Conference with 54 points, as many as Philadelphia above them. Nashville were the only unbeaten team at home this season, recording 8 wins and 9 draws, scoring 35 goals and conceding 18 in the process. They might have a good defense overall, but they kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 9 home matches, while Both Teams Scored in each of their last 6.

Orlando City almost messed up in the final steps of the regular season, as they went win-less in 4 matches (0-1-3). But they did manage to beat Montreal by 2-0 on the road in the final match and eventually finished at the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with a 13-9-12 record and 51 points. They scored 50 goals and conceding 48 in the process, which was the 2nd worst defense in the top half of the Eastern Conference table. Orlando City were quite surprising on the road, having the 3rd best away record in the Conference with 5 wins, 7 losses and 5 draws, scoring 21 and conceding 30 goals in the process. However, they won just 2 of their last 12 away matches (2-6-4), and they kept just 3 clean sheets on the road all season.

All 3 matches between the two sides this season ended in goal draws, twice in Nashville and once in Orlando. There has been total balance in 6 matches between the two sides in the past 2 years, with each team winning once and the other 4 matches ending as draws. All 6 matches had Both Teams to Score, while all 3 matches in Nashville have been goal draws. Taking Both Teams to Score here (+114).
