Montreal Impact are having a season to forget so far, and have been simply awful lately. They will now play host to another struggling side on Wednesday, Orlando City. Orlando City have also been in equally bad form lately, as they too have lost five of their last six.
Montreal Impact (4-11-0) just can’t seem to get back on track this season, and are coming off yet another loss. This time they were hosted by FC Dallas, who took an early two-goal lead by the 18th minute and easily held on to the result. That was the fifth loss in the last six matches form Montreal Impact, who have scored a single goal in that span. They are now sitting at the 10th spot of the Eastern Conference with 12 points, featuring the worst offense in the Conference (15) and the worst defense (31). Things have only been slightly better at home (3-3-0), where they have kept just two clean sheets.
Orlando City (6-7-1) are coming off a devastating loss on the road, where they were destroyed by 2-5 in the hands of Vancouver. Their opponents had already taken the lead when Orlando City were left with ten men at the 58th minute, but they did manage to pull even at the 64th. Even so, they conceded a whopping four goals in the final 15 minutes of the match, to eventually meet their fifth loss in their last six. However, they are still clinging to the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with 19 points just one point ahead of Philadelphia and Chicago.
