Orlando City at DC United 6/26/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

DC United did not have much luck in the US Open Cup, failing to win a single match and eventually bowing out. They will now return to MLS duties on Wednesday when they will play host to Orlando City on Wednesday. Orlando City had an easier job in the US Open Cup and have overall been in much better shape.

DC United (7-4-6) are coming off a couple of hard battles in the US Open Cup, where they scored two late goals in the extra time to overcome Philadelphia but fell by 2-1 at home against NYCFC and were eliminated. DC United have now failed to win their last seven matches in all competitions (0-3-4) but four of their last five were draws. DC United are sitting 3rd in the East with 27 points, four behind the top. They have been so and so at home (4-2-3) and have not won any of their last four there (0-3-1). Orlando City (5-7-3) had a much easier job in the US Open Cup, at least in the first match, where they overcame Memphis by 3-1 on the road before beating New England by 1-2 in the extra time to qualify to the final 8. Orlando City have been in really good shape lately (3-1-1 in all competitions). They are now sitting 9th in the East with 18 points, one behind the playoffs. They have been mediocre on the road so far (2-3-2), keeping just two clean sheets.
