There is a huge clash in the Eastern Conference on Saturday, when Montreal Impact will play host to NYCFC. Montreal have been pretty solid lately and are still sitting inside the playoff spots. NYCFC have been really bad in their recent matches but their ticket should be safe for the time being.

Montreal (12-14-3) are coming off a dominant win on the road against Philadelphia Union. They saw their opponents take an early lead but had already overturned the lead in their favor before the first half was over. They were great in the second half as well and scored two more goals for the final 4-1. They are in good form lately, losing just one of their last six (3-1-2). Montreal are still 6th in the Eastern Conference with 39 points, five ahead of DC United. They have been quite good at home so far (9-4-1), where they have lost just once in their last 10 (8-1-1). NYCFC (14-8-7) played their last match over two weeks ago, and that can mean a lot of things. It was a pretty anxious 1-1 draw at home against DC United, which was really odd considering their dominance in that match. NYCFC have been in really poor form lately, having failed to win all previous five matches (0-3-2). Despite their bad run, they are still sitting at the 3rd spot of the Eastern Conference with 49 points. They haven’t been anything special on the road so far (4-7-3), winning just twice in the past five months (2-8-1).
