NYCFC at LA Galaxy 5/11/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

The LA Galaxy have not had much luck in their last two matches, losing both on the road against Columbus and the Red Bulls. They will now return home where they will host another Eastern Conference side, NYCFC, on Saturday. NYCFC have started slowly but have been really improving lately.

The LA Galaxy (7-3-1) played a pretty balanced match on the road against Columbus Crew, but lost by a tough 1-3. Prior to that they also fell by 2-3 on the road against the Red Bulls but they have not been bad in those two matches. The LA Galaxy are still 2nd in the Western Conference with 22 points, two behind LAFC. Moreover, they have equalized the best home start in a season with six consecutive wins, their best run since 1996. NYCFC (3-1-6) took an early lead and went on to easily subdue Montreal by 2-0 on the road in their last match. NYCFC still continue their peculiar start in the season as they are now undefeated in their last six (3-0-3) and have lost just once in the entire season. Most of their matches have been draws though, and that is why they are sitting at the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with 15 points. Their only loss so far has come on the road (2-1-2) where they have scored twice in four.
