NYCFC at Colorado Rapids 7/20/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Colorado were terrific a couple of weeks back but are now starting to lose it a little bit. They will now play host to NYCFC on Saturday, who were also great all season but are also starting to fall off lately. This is going to be a tough match between the two.

Colorado (5-10-5) fell behind in the score on the road against Colorado but pulled back on both occasions and settled for a 2-2 draw. They have won just one of their last five matches (1-1-3) but have lost just one of their last ten matches in all competitions (5-1-4). Even so, they are sitting at the 11th spot of the Western Conference with 20 points, just as many as Vancouver below them. Colorado have been mediocre at best when they play on home ground (4-5-2). NYCFC (7-3-8) failed to beat the Red Bulls in the city derby, despite taking the lead. They eventually lost by 1-2 and it is more than clear that the fatigue from the consecutive matches is really starting to add up. NYCFC are now sitting at the 7th spot of the Eastern Conference with 29 points. Moreover, they have the best defense in the Conference with just 22 conceded goals. They have been quite solid on the road so far (3-2-4) but won just one of their last five matches in all competitions (1-1-3).
