NY Red Bulls at New England Revolution 6/2/18 - MLS Picks & Predictions

New England Revolution have find great difficulties in securing points lately, as they have won just two matches in the past six weeks. They will now look to return to winning ways when they will play host to the New York Red Bulls on Saturday. The Red Bulls might be coming off a blank draw against Philadelphia but they have been really great lately.

New England (5-4-4) should be feeling thankful about the outcome of their last match, where they scored a late goal from the penalty spot to draw 1-1 at home against Atlanta United. New England are now win-less in their last three (0-1-2) and have won just two of their last eight (2-3-3). Even so, they are still sitting at the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with 19 points. They have been quite hard to beat at home (4-2-2), but they have kept just two clean sheets in the process. The NY Red Bulls (7-3-1) are coming into this match after a goal-less draw on the road against Philadelphia. Their opponents missed a chance to score from the penalty spot at the start of the second half, in what was a pretty balanced match. That draw extended their undefeated streak to five matches (4-0-1) but have kept just two clean sheets in that span. They are now sitting at the 4th spot of the Eastern Conference with 22 points, four points behind Atlanta United. They have been above average on the road so far (3-2-0), where they have actually scored multiple goals in their last four.

The Red Bulls won all three matches against Philadelphia last season, twice for the MLS and once in the US Open Cup. However, they had a really tough time in this venue over the years, having won just three matches here since 2002 (17-3-7). New England might win this one, but I will go with the Over 3 Goals here.
