There is a very important match-up taking place in Round 7 of the EURO Qualifiers, when the Netherlands will host Northern Ireland. Both teams have made really good starts in this qualifying phase but with Germany set to cap the top spot, these two will fight hard.
Northern Ireland (4-1-0) fought hard in their home match against Germany, by far the strongest team in the group, but fell by 2-0. However, that was their first loss after four consecutive wins in this qualifying round. Northern Ireland are now sitting 2nd in Group C with 12 points, just as many as Germany above them. In their last 18 matches only seven had three goals, while all the other had fewer goals, which goes to show what a defensive side they are.
The Netherlands (3-1-0) are coming off a really strong performance on the road, where they beat Estonia by 4-0. That was their second consecutive win in this round, scoring four goals in each match. The Oranje are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the group with 9 points after four matches, scoring 14 goals and conceding just five in the process. All four of their matches in the group so far had Over 2.5 Goals.
