On Monday, the New York City FC play the Columbus Crew SC Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New York. NYCFC has lost five of its first six matches in MLS play this season with four of the losses having a scoreline of 1-0. The most recent loss was a 1-0 setback to the New York Red Bulls in the Hudson River Derby. NYCFC is in dire need of offense with a goal difference of -5.

Columbus played very well during the MLS is Back Tournament and returned for a 3-0 thrashing of the Chicago Fire when restarting the regular season last week. The Crew is one of three undefeated clubs in the league and has a +11 goal differential.

Not only is Columbus scoring on a regular basis but the backline and goalkeeper have conceded just one goal in six matches in league play. Darlington Nagbe, considered one of the best holding midfielders in the MLS, scored on a thunderous volley from far out for the Crew in it's 3-0 victory over Chicago.

New York City FC is feeling the pressure at this point sitting next to last in the Eastern Conference with just three points and ahead of just the new expansion club Inter Miami. Columbus Crew on the other hand is at the top of the East standings with 16 points having won five of its six matches with a draw in the other.
