Vancouver have been really solid lately and are coming off three consecutive draws. They will now look for nothing other than a win when they will play host to New England on Saturday. New England have not been in much better shape lately and will also look for some points here.
Vancouver (4-5-4) are coming into this match after a lucky draw on the road against FC Dallas. They were already down by two goals by the 82nd minute, but their opponents scored an own goal at the 82nd minute, and Vancouver hit on the counter-attack at the 10th (!) minute of stoppage time to eventually pull even for the third consecutive 2-2 draw. They are now sitting at the 5th spot of the Western Conference with 16 points and have been quite hard to beat at home so far (2-1-3).
New England (5-4-2) were engaged in a really balanced match against the visiting Columbus Crew last week but were eventually defeated by 1-0. They have now won just two of their last six matches, both at home (2-3-1). They are now sitting at the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with 17 points, having scored 18 goals against 15 conceded. They have not been very strong on the road so far (1-2-1), where they have scored two goals in three of their four matches.
