In the round of 32 of the US Open Cup all the MLS teams are joining the pool, and there are a lot of dangers out there. New England Revolution are now matched to play against USL side Louisville City who will be hosting them on Tuesday. This is a very dangerous outing for New England, who are not expected to have an easy job.
Louisville City are having a really great season so far, as they are currently sitting at the 2nd spot of the Eastern Conference of the USL with 22 points after 10 matches (7-2-1). They are just a single point behind Conference leaders Cincinnati who have played two more matches, and Louisville City actually defeated them in their last match by 2-0 on the road. They have now won four in a row, and they are a deadly force at home. They have won all five home matches for the USL so far, and both US Open Cup matches in earlier rounds.
New England Revolution are coming into this match after a really strong performance at home, where they came back from one goal behind to defeat the Red Bulls by 1-2. However, that was just their second win in their last six (2-2-2), as they are going through a rough patch right now. Even so, they are sitting at the 5th spot of the Eastern Conference with 22 points after 14 matches (6-4-4). They have been quite mediocre on the road so far (1-2-2) but have scored at least twice in each of their last four away matches.
