It’s top-meets-bottom in the Eastern Conference on Saturday when Philadelphia Union wil host bottom-feeders New England Revolution. Philadelphia are coming off a nice win over Cincinnati and are in solid form, while New England have been struggling lately but are coming off a mouth-watering 4-4 draw on the road.

Philadelphia Union (5-3-2) played a really passionate match at home against Cincinnati on Wednesday, winning by 0-2. They are having a really solid season so far and have been really improving lately, as they have lost just once in their last eight matches (5-1-2). Philadelphia are currently sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference with 17 points, just as many as DC United and Montreal Impact below them. Philadelphia have been great at home so far (4-1-0) conceding just four goals. New England (2-6-2) will surely be feeling upset about the outcome of their last match, where they scored four times and didn’t win. They were leading by 3-1 on the road against Sporting KC at some point but eventually split the points in a 4-4 draw. New England have been pretty bad so far in the season with just two wins in ten matches. It is no wonder they are sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with just 8 points.

Philadelphia Union won all three matches against New England last season and have been excellent in this match-up in recent years (6-1-2). They have also been great as hosts (9-3-2) and have won each of the last four here without even conceding. New England are surely frustrated right now but I will go with the home team here.
