Nashville SC vs. Inter Miami CF 11/20/20 - MLS Picks & Predictions

On Friday, two first-year clubs in the MLS meet in a play-in match win Nashville SC hosts inter Miami CF at Nissan Stadium. Nashville rallied to defeat Orlando City on Decision Day 3-2 becoming the first club in the MLS this season to defeat Orlando City at Exploria Stadium. Nashville trailed 2-1 after Nani scored on a free kick for Orlando City but Hany Mukhtar scored an equalizer for Nashville with just two minutes to play and Jhonder Cadiz followed with a winner during stoppage time.

Nashville has relied on its defense during its first season in the MLS and the club is the toughest to score on. Nashville lost just one of its final seven matches during the regular season. The leading goal scorer for Nashville during the regular season was Daniel Rios with four and Randall Leal and Dax McCarthy each had four assists to lead the club.

Inter Miami CF boasts several big-name players on its squad during its first season in the MLS including Gonzalo Higuain, Blaise Matuidi and Rodolfo Pizarro. Inter Miami did not finish its regular season on a strong note however as the club lost three of their final four matches prior to defeating FC Cincinnati 2-1 at home on Decision Day to earn a spot in this play-in match with Nashville. 

Inter Miami received goals from Mikey Ambrose and Leandro Gonzalez Pirez during the first 23 minutes of the match and held on to defeat FC Cincinnati and extend its first-season for at least one more match and possibly more. The leading goal scorer for Inter Miami during the regular season was Lewis Morgan with five and Morgan was also the leader in assists with seven.
