Portugal and Spain were engaged in a spectacular draw in their first match in this World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo went nuts and scored a hattrick, which gave Portugal the fighting edge against Spain. Portugal will now take on Morocco on Wednesday, in what is considered to be a really tricky match.
Morocco were not at all good in the first match against Iran, but they surely didn’t deserve to lose. They slightly had the upper hand throughout the whole match but failed to score. They eventually conceded an own goal at the stoppage time that left them with virtually no chances of qualifying. Morocco will be feeling really hard-done about that result, as they were clearly the better team in the pitch. They will now look for nothing other than a win over Portugal in an attempt to revive their bid.
Portugal have had a great game against Spain, mostly because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s outburst. He took the lead twice in that match, but Spain managed to respond to both goals. Not only that, but Spain were actually winning by 3-2 at the second half. However, Cristiano Ronaldo completed his hattrick at the final minutes of the match, when he scored an amazing free kick over the wall. Portugal will now clash against the hurt Morocco, who suffered a devastating loss against Iran.
