New England are coming off a lucky win against the Red Bulls over the weekend, but still put an end to their two consecutive losses. They will now look to build on that result when they will host Montreal on Wednesday. Montreal have played most of their matches on the road and that is starting to show.

New England (2-5-1) got what was pretty much a lucky 0-1 win at home against the visiting Red Bulls. A late goal was all that New England needed in order to record their second win of the season. They have lost five of their previous six though, failing to score in four of those losses. New England are now sitting at the 10th spot of the Eastern Conference with 7 points, two behind the playoff spots. Montreal (3-3-2) are coming off a really bad match against Philadelphia on the road, where both teams were awful. But Philadelphia were luckier and managed to bag three goals and record a nice win. Montreal saw their three-match undefeated streak come to an end and it seems that playing all these away matches is starting to creep up on them. They have only scored two goals in their last five.

New England have been great in this match-up lately (6-1-0) and have been great as hosts (5-3-0). They have won each of the last four here and can certainly take advantage of Montreal’s struggles. In any case, the two teams struggle to score goals.
