Montenegro at Serbia 11/17/18 - UEFA Nations League Picks & Predictions

A local derby of very much importance is about to take place on Saturday, when Serbia will play host to Montenegro for the UEFA Nations League. Serbia have already beaten Montenegro once so far in the competition and are overall a much better team than their opponents. This is a huge match for both sides and can easily determine the winner of the group.

Serbia (2-0-2) did not make a very good run in the World Cup this summer, but they have been excellent in the UEFA Nations League so far. The difference of difficulty between the two competitions is immense, but even so, Serbia have done great to remain undefeated after four matches so far. In their first match they beat Lithuania by 1-0 but were stuck at a 2-2 draw against Romania in their next match. After that they got a nice away win by 2-0 against Montenegro only to play for another draw (0-0) against Romania at home. Serbia are now sitting at the top of Group 4 in League C in the UEFA Nations League with 8 points. Montenegro have 7, Romania have 6 and Lithuania have none. Montenegro (2-1-1) didn’t play a very good match in the opener against Romania, but escaped with a point from that goal-less draw. But Montenegro got a nice win out of their following match, where they beat Lithuania by a comfortable 0-2 at home, only to lose to Serbia by 2-0 at home in their next match. But again they found a way to bounce back to winning ways when they blasted Lithuanua by a strong 4-1 on the road. Montenegro are now 2nd in their group with 7 points and their last match is against Romania, so anything other than a win here would destroy their chances for the top spot, as Serbia are against Lithuania in their last match.
