Monaco at Troyes 5/19/18 - Ligue 1 Picks & Predictions

Monaco will be looking for at least a point when they will be hosted by Troyes on Saturday. Troyes have their own battle to fight, as they will need a win here in order to avoid the automatic relegation.

Monaco (23-6-8) fought really hard against the visiting Saint Etienne last week, where they had to score a late goal at the stoppage time to win by 0-1. That was their second consecutive win, but prior to that they were win-less in three (2-2-1). Monaco are currently sitting at the 2nd spot of the Ligue 1 with 77 points, two ahead of Lyon and three ahead of Marseille. A loss here could be catastrophic, as Monaco can move from the 2nd spot and the Champions League, to the 4th spot and the Europa League. Troyes (9-22-6) have had a really poor season in the Ligue 1, as they are more in danger of relegating than ever. They have not been in very good form in the second half of the season, as they have won just one of their last twelve matches (1-8-3). However, they have been consistent scorers lately, as they have failed to score in just one of their last five. Troyes are now sitting at the penultimate spot of the Ligue 1 with 33 points, and they wil certainly be involved in relegation scenarios. They need at least a point here, hoping that Toulouse will lose so Troyes can move up a spot and play in the relegation playoffs.
