Minnesota United at San Jose 3/7/20 - MLS Picks & Predictions

San Jose did not start the season in a very positive manner and barely avoided the loss. They will now play their second match at home, where they will play host to Minnesota United. Minnesota were excellent in the first match of the season and will now play again on the road.

Minnesota United (1-0-0) did a great job in the season opener in Portland, despite struggling in the first half. They took the lead at the start of the second but were equalized almost immediately. Minnesota United went on to score twice in a two-minute span (76th and 78th) to eventually record a really nice win to start the season. They have now grabbed points from three of their last MLS away matches (2-2-1).

San Jose did not start with a win for the second consecutive season after a 2-2 draw at home against Toronto FC in the premiere. It was a pretty balanced match between the two, but San Jose found themselves two goals down at the start of the second half. Even so, they fought back and managed to pull even at the 5th minute of stoppage time for the final 2-2. However, they did great as a home favourite last season (8-3-2) and have been solid as hosts against Minnesota United.
