Marseille at PSG 9/13/2020 - Ligue 1 Picks & Predictions

PSG suffered a massive upset in their opening match for the Ligue 1, as they met a slim loss on the road against newcomers Lens. To be fair though, they were missing seven key players in that match, but even so, it was still a massive upset. The Parisiens will get a few players back from those absences, and will now gear up to host Marseille on Sunday.

PSG (0-1-0) used a mix of reserves and youngsters in their away match against Lens, but the experiment was unsuccessful. They only had a single shot on target and could not threaten their opponents. Lens scored the only goal of the match at the 57th minute for the final 0-1 loss. PSG will probably get Neymar back from quarantine, but we will have to check the news tomorrow. In any case, a similar starting line-up against Marseille will surely have a really tough time.

Marseille (1-0-0) did not have a very easy job against the other newcomers, Brest, but did manage to win. They took an early two-goal lead but their opponents scored before the first half was over. Marseille extended their lead again in the second half and did concede another goal, but did manage to take the three points with that 3-2 win. However, their opponents created an alarming amount of scoring chances, and Marseille should shape up their defense sooner rather than later.
