Adams put Armel Bella-Kotchap's lay off from a long throw-in into the net just nine minutes after entering the contest. He later volleyed a delivery from James Ward-Prowse past the Leicester defense in the 84th minute to secure the victory. Leicester dominated possession of the ball in the first half and the beginning of the second, but The Saints feisty defense held the Foxes to just six shots, with only one on target for the day.
