Watford were doing a really great job in the opening months of the season but they have somewhat fallen off in recent weeks. They met another loss this weekend and will now have a massive task coming their way, as they will host league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday. Manchester City are coming off a comfortable win over the weekend and will now look to extend their streak.

Watford (6-6-2) had some really bad luck in their away match against Leicester on Saturday, as the match quickly took a turn for the worse. They made a mistake in the first minutes of that match and allowed Jamie Vardy to convert a penalty kick at just the 12th minute. Unable to recover from the shock, Watford conceded another goal at the 23rd minute, while they themselves failed to threaten throughout the whole match. The final 0-2 was a really bad result, as it kept them win-less for the fourth in a row and it was their third loss in that span. Watford are now sitting at the middle of the league table, with 20 points and the 10th spot. They have been hit or miss at home so far in the season (4-3-0), with six of those seven featuring at least Over 2.5 Goals. Manchester City (12-0-2) are coming off a solid effort at home on Saturday, where they beat Bournemouth by 1-3. However, the result didn’t come easy as City were not very good in the first half. They did take the lead at the 16th minute but their opponents pulled even at the 44th. Even so, Manchester City dominated Bournemouth in the second half, scoring two more goals without allowing a single shot on target. That was their sixth consecutive win for the Premier League, as they are also on a 15-match undefeated streak in all competitions (13-0-2). They are still comfortably sitting at the top of the Premier League with 38 points, two ahead of Liverpool. They have been equally good on the road (4-0-2) where they have only conceded a single goal so far.

Manchester City have totally dominated this match-up over the years and have never lost to Watford (10-0-2). Watford have been in really bad form lately and this match is surely not going to help. However, they have scored very few goals lately and this is really uncharacteristic of them. They just might score at least once here, so I will go with the Over 3.25 Goals on this one.
