Two teams that are coming off clean wins in the Carabao Cup mid-week will clash against one another on Saturday, when Everton will host Manchester City on Saturday. Everton have lost their last two league matches though, while Manchester City have been firing in all cylinders lately.
Manchester City (4-1-1) are coming off a nice 3-0 win on the road against Preston in the Carabao Cup. That win came after a MASSIVE 0-8 destruction of Watford at home last week. Manchester City have now won each of their last three with clean sheets, while also scoring 14 goals in the process. They are sitting 2nd in the Premier League with 13 points, five behind leaders Liverpool. They have a 4-1-0 away record in all competitions, scoring at least twice in all matches.
Everton (2-3-1) also won in their Carabao Cup mid-week, beating Sheffield Wednesday by 2-0 on the road. But prior to that they had suffered back-to-back losses against Sheffield United and Bournemouth, and have now won three of their last five. Everton are sitting at the 14th spot of the league table with 7 points, scoring five and conceding nine goals so far.
