There is a massive British battle in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season, as Tottenham will clash against Manchester City. The first leg in set to be played on Tuesday in the brand new Tottenham stadium, the first ever European match to be played there. Both teams had it easy in the previous round but this is a whole different story.

Tottenham had a much easier job than they expected against Dortmund in the round of 16. They started off nicely with a solid 0-3 win at home and then they won the other match by 1-0 on the road. Tottenham return to this stage for the first time after 46 years, and have a record of W1 L2 against English clubs. They have been struggling lately (2-4-1) but don’t be fooled, they are up to something. Manchester City had probably the easiest of jobs in the previous round when they destroyed German side Schalke by 2-10 on aggregate. They did a great job in the first leg on the road, where they somehow won by 3-2 despite playing with one less man. After that they destroyed Schalke by a massive 0-7 at home to progress. Manchester City have lost all previous four matches against fellow English sides. But they have scored two or more goals in each of their four away matches this season (3-0-1).
