Southampton could not help it and were defeated against West Ham in their mid-week home match but they will have another tough match coming their way. They will remain at home where they will play host to a struggling Manchester City side. City met another shocking loss, this time against Leicester and they will now be hungrier than ever in this match.
Southampton (3-10-6) are coming off a really frustrating 2-1 loss at home against West Ham, in a match where they scored the first goal. But their opponents were quick in their response and forced Southampton to their first loss after two consecutive wins. They are now sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 15 points, just one ahead of the relegation zone. They have not been very good at home so far, winning just one of their 9 matches in the Premier League (1-3-5). However, they have lost just once in their last five (1-1-3).
Manchester City (14-3-2) also met a really bad loss, their second in a row, and this time it was Leicester who beat them by 1-2 on the road. Bernardo Silva took the lead at the 14th minute but Leicester pulled even at the 19th minute and eventually overturned the lead in their favor at the 81st for the final 1-2. That was the second consecutive loss for Manchester City who are now sitting 3rd with 44 points, one behind Tottenham and already 10 behind Liverpool. They could have been better on the road (5-2-2), where they have won just once in their last five (1-2-2).
