Lyon at Toulouse 1/16/19 - Ligue 1 Picks & Predictions

Lyon have been having a pretty solid season in the Ligue 1 so far and have also found success in other competitions. They did suffer a tough elimination from the League Cup a week ago but they will now look to get back to winning ways when they will be hosted by Toulouse on Wednesday. Toulouse are coming off a loss but they have not been very bad lately.

Toulouse (5-8-6) met a really frustrating 2-1 loss at home against Strasbourg in their last match for the league. They temporarily pulled even in the first half but conceded another goal to lose by 2-1. However, they have lost just two of their last six matches in all competitions (3-2-1). Toulouse are now sitting at the 14th spot of the league table with 21 points, just four ahead of the relegation zone. They have been quite mediocre at home so far (2-4-3) where each of their last three matches featured goals from both sides and Over 2.5 Goals. Lyon (9-4-6) were stuck at a 1-1 draw at home against a seemingly weaker side in Reims, in what was a really balanced match between the two sides. Prior to that they met a really frustrating and quite unexpected elimination by 2-1 at home against Strasbourg. Even so, that was their only loss in their last seven matches in all competitions (3-1-3). Lyon are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the league table with 33 points, just as many as Saint Etienne below them. Lyon have been really hard to beat on the road so far (3-2-3), and they are also undefeated in their last eight in all competitions (4-0-4).
