Louisville City are the only non-MLS team to still continue in the US Open Cup. The quarter-finals of the competition are set to be played on Wednesday, and Louisville City have a tough match coming. Chicago Fire will be happy to play host to the easiest team in this stage of the competition. They will now play host to the USL side on Wednesday, looking to bounce back to winning ways.

Chicago Fire were destroyed in Dallas over the weekend, where they met a tough 1-3 loss. They have been in really bad form lately, as this was their third consecutive loss. They have struggled over the past month or so, having won just two of their nine matches in that span (2-3-4). In the previous round of the US Open Cup they pulled a nice away win against Atlanta United (1-0). And before that they had eliminated Columbus Crew in the penalty shoot-out, again on the road. Louisville City have already defeated an MLS side in prior stages of the US Open Cup. They came back twice against New England to eventually win by 2-3 at home. But all four previous matches for the competition were at home, this will be their first away match. They have been in really bad form lately (2-2-4), probably because of their small roster. The consecutive matches for the USL and the US Open Cup have tired them out at this point in the season. Even so, they haven't been very bad on the road so far (3-3-3), having only failed to score in three.

Louisville City have been in really bad form lately, but so have Chicago. Chicago have a much deeper roster, and a good run in the US Open Cup is a main goal. I wouldn't be surprised if Louisville City scored against Chicago's bad defense, so I will take the Over 3 Goals here.
