Los Angeles Galaxy at Inter Miami CF 4/18/21 - MLS Picks & Predictions

The LA Galaxy will be looking to put a very bad season behind them and start fresh. They will not have an easy job in their season opener though, as they will be hosted by Inter Miami on Sunday. Inter Miami did a solid job in their inaugural season and they did improve in the off-season too. Inter Miami finished the season with a 7-13-3 record, with 25 goals for and 35 against. They were not bad at home, with a 5-3-2 record and 14 goals for and against. It's their away performanced that were an issue, with 10 losses and just 2 wins in their 12 matches on the road. Inter Miami made some excellent additions in the off-season, in an attempt to safe-guard their defense and futherly improve their midfield. They did make the playopffs last season but they were eliminated in the first round against Nashville. The LA Galaxy are coming off a really bad season in which they didn't even make the playoffs. They finished 10th in the West with just 22 points after 22 matches, scorng 27 and conceding 46 goals, which was the 2nd worst defense. Playing on the road did the Galaxy no good, as they won just 2 of their 10 away matches (2-6-2), losing each of their last six. They have been a mess since Zlatan left the team, but they did bring a couple of quality players and should be better this season. At least offensively.
