Liverpool vs Real Madrid 5/26/18 - Champions League Picks & Predictions

Real Madrid have reached the final once again, where they will be looking to make it three-in-a-row when they will lock horns against Liverpool. All eyes will be set in the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev on Saturday, where the two teams will fight for supremacy.

Liverpool are participating in their 20th final in UEFA competitions. They haven’t had much luck against Spanish clubs lately, having won just one of their last seven (1-4-2). Overall, the Merseyside club's record against Spanish sides is 14-12-11, and have won only one of their last seven fixtures against Liga clubs outside England. Including qualifying, Liverpool have scored 46 goals in 14 games this season, at an average of 3.29 goals per game – surpassing Barcelona's record of 45 from 1999/2000. Real Madrid are ready to make history on Saturday, as a win would make them the fourth team to claim three successive European crowns – and the first to do it twice. Coach Zidane could also become the first coach to win three European Cups in a row. Success in Kyiv would make it five Champions League triumphs for the competition's record goal scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, which would be another first. Madrid's record in this season's competition is W8 D2 L2. They have kept only three clean sheets in 12 matches but have found the net in their last 27 UEFA Champions League outings. The Spanish club's overall record against English sides is W15 D11 L11.

This is surely not going to be a careful match between the two, and I expect to see goals from both sides in what is expected to be a total goal-fest.
