Liverpool (3-1-0) are coming off a devastating loss in the hands of Aston Villa before the break. Their opponents caught Liverpool sleeping and took a two-goal lead in the first 20 minutes. Liverpool did react with a goal at the 33rd but Aston Villa were sensational in that match. They scored four goals in the first half and three in the second, while making Liverpool’s defense look like amateurs. Liverpool are now sitting 5th in the league table with 9 points, scoring 11 and conceding 11 goals so far.
Liverpool destroyed Everton by 2-5 at home last season, before a goal-less draw in this venue. The two teams also met in the FA Cup, where Liverpool won by a slim 0-1 at home. They are now undefeated in their last 22 matches against Everton (11-0-11). Interestingly enough, five of their last six matches featured Under 2.5 Goals. Moreover, seven of the last eight matches in this venue have been draws. How can we not take the Over 3 goals here?
