Manchester City have been really inconsistent lately but they will need to find stability as they will now host league leaders Liverpool who have been in stunning form.

Manchester City (15-3-2) managed to bounce back after back to back losses against Crystal Palace and Leicester, when they beat Southampton by 3-1 on the road. They were great in the first half but found two late goals in order to win by a solid 3-1 to return to winning ways. Manchester City are still sitting at the 3rd spot of the Premier League with 47 points, one behind Tottenham and seven behind Liverpool. They have only lost once at home (9-1-0), where they have scored 35 goals and have conceded just 9. Liverpool (17-0-3) extended their strong performances with a massive home win against Arsenal. They actually conceded the first goal in that match but went on to destroy their opponents, leading by three goals by the end of the first half and eventually won by 1-5. They have now won eight in a row in all competitions and have scored at least twice in six of those matches. Liverpool are still sitting at the top of the league table with 54 points, six ahead of Tottenham. They have yet to be defeated on the road (8-0-2) where they have conceded just 5 goals.
