Liverpool at Burnley 12/5/18 - Premier League Picks & Predictions

Burnley were not very good in their away match against Crystal Palace and proved yet again that they are not doing very well lately. They will now have a massive task coming their way on Wednesday when they will play host to Liverpool. Liverpool weren’t very good against Everton but managed to grab all three points with a late goal.

Burnley (2-9-3) looked really bad in their away match against Crystal Palace over the weekend, especially in the first half. They didn’t have a single scoring chance in that match and saw their opponents take the lead at the 16th minute. Burnley were not very good in the second half either, where they conceded once again to lose by 0-2. That was their fifth loss in their last six, where they are also without a win (0-5-1). Burnley are are now sitting at the 19th spot of the Premier League with 9 points, just as many as Southampton above them. They have the worst home record (1-4-1), but they have scored 7 goals and have conceded 10. Liverpool (11-0-3) played a really tough match at home against Merseyside rivals Everton, where both teams fought for the three points. It was a really balanced match in the first half where both teams had their fair share of scoring chances. Liverpool were slightly improved in the second half but were again struggling to connect. They eventually scored the winning goal at the 6th minute of stoppage time for the final 0-1. That was their third consecutive win in the Premier League, as they are still sitting at the 2nd spot with 36 points, just two behind Manchester City. Liverpool have been great on the road so far in the league (4-0-2), but have somewhat struggled lately. They have won just two of their last seven away matches in all competitions (2-3-2).
