Lithuania at Poland 6/12/18 - International Friendly Picks & Predictions

Poland dominated their group in the World Cup qualifiers, but have been pretty weak in their warm-up friendlies ever since. They now have a very easy task coming their way, as they will play host to Lithuania in their last match before traveling to Russia.

Poland had no problems in finishing at the top spot of their respective group in the World Cup Qualifiers (8-1-1). To be fair, they were in quite the easy group along with Denmark, Montenegro, Romania, Armenia and Kazakhstan. Key forward Robert Lewandowski was also the leading scorer in the qualifiers with 16 goals. Poland have played five friendlies since then with not a lot of success (1-2-2), having only defeated South Korea. They lost to Nigeria and Mexico and drew against Uruguay and Chile. Lithuania had absolutely no chance to make it to the World Cup. Not only because of their overall weakness, but also because they were placed in a group with at least three better teams (England, Slovakia, Slovenia, Scotland, Malta). They only won a single match (1-6-3) and finished at the penultimate spot. Lithuania have a lot of problems in both ends of the pitch, and should be easy prey against Poland.
